About the event
The class is a 3-hour session with a 15 minute break in the middle for tea, snacks, & toilet breaks!
Whether you've never written a song before and don't play an instrument, or you're already a song-writer and musician but want to improve your skills, this online class is ideal for you. The class will cover topics like song structure, subject matter, language, lyrics, rhyme types, rhyming schemes, chord progressions, and melody development.
It will be semi-interactive, in that, once we've covered a topic, we'll listen to various songs and analyse them based on what we've just learned. You can give thoughts and opinions here, or just listen and learn. I'll deliver a step-by-step guide to songwriting, tools and tips that I use myself, and we can even try to begin to write an example song as a group, simply as a way of showing how to follow the step-by-step…
